Careers

We hire few people, and we want them exceptional.

h|ve builds the layer that makes AI deliver results inside a real company. It is frontier work: few people, large scope and decisions close to whoever executes.

We do not publish a list of openings. If you are exceptional at what you do, the conversation starts with you, not with a role someone wrote before meeting you.

How we operate

The way of working is already standing.

This is not a culture page aspiration. It is how the work happens here every day, and it is what you will find in your first week.

  • You operate with AI, not next to it

h|ve is built with h|ve itself. Everyone works with agents in the real flow, and whoever joins learns to drive that machine instead of competing with it.

  • Large scope, clear owner

A small team means the problem reaches you whole, with business context attached. Nobody gets a slice of a task without knowing why it exists.

  • Decisions are recorded

What was decided, by whom and on what basis becomes a record. That protects whoever decides and lets the discussion move without relying on meeting memory.

  • Direct, not harsh

Feedback here is specific and arrives early. We do not confuse candour with rudeness, nor kindness with letting things slide.

  • Shipping on the real thing

We prefer a slice working in a user hand to a beautiful presentation of what does not exist yet. Demonstration beats description.

  • Async by default

Writing well is a requirement, because most alignment happens in writing. Meetings exist when text cannot solve it.

The bar

What we call exceptional.

It is not years served or a company name on a CV. It is what you have already built and how much your presence changes a team result.

This is itThis is not

  • You have built something hard and can explain the decisions you made along the way.

A CV full of tools and no hard problem solved.

  • You close the loop: you understand the problem, ship it and keep it standing.

Work that always needs someone behind it to become a result.

  • You use AI every day and know where it fails.

Enthusiasm about AI without practice, or refusal to use it.

  • You write clearly enough to align without a meeting.

Long text that never makes clear what needs deciding.

  • You ask about business impact before picking the solution.

An elegant solution to a problem nobody had.

The deal

What we offer, without making things up.

  • Remote and async

The team works distributed. We agree on overlap windows for what needs real time, and the rest moves in writing.

  • Frontier problems

AI governance in software development is new ground. Much of what we do has no manual yet, and that is either the appeal or the obstacle, depending on who is reading.

  • Direct access to decision makers

The company is small. Your proposal reaches whoever decides in the same week, and the answer comes with a reason.

  • An honest conversation about stage

We are an early stage company. Compensation, format and scope are discussed case by case, with the real situation on the table from the first conversation.

Application

Tell us who you are.

No standard cover letter. We want what you built, what you learned when it went wrong and why h|ve is the right next step for you.

We read everything. Applications that move forward hear back within a week.
